Pride in Your Presence

Pride in Your Presence

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

"The infinitely little have a pride infinitely great." ~Voltaire

"
I felt the strongest of connections
I felt the gears turn in my mind
I felt my heart swell in my body
I felt my inner sparks ignite.

I felt the tingles spread through myself
And when I breathed my throat caught
I felt a bond that could not be broken
I felt you'd join me if I fought.

I felt, best of all,
Pride erupting true as truth
That I feel with no one else
Since you stand with me, and I with you.
