CaptivatingA Poem by Riley BrayYou were different with me, even when we first met.
He had a sad smile.
His eyes reflected painful memories As if he could bury them deep inside. His hands were tanned and balled into tight fists As if he could hold his heart in his palm. His mouth was soft but rigid As if he could hide himself in its shadow. His soul was incomplete and wavering As if inside he was not who he tried to be. He was captivating. But he had a sad smile.
