Guilty

Guilty

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

To Delaney, a wonderful writer whose work I hope to see back on here again some day.

"
I found myself missing you,
Just sifting through
Old memories.

And oh the tear that wet my cheek
When I did see
You left.

Just a little note tacked on your page
Uttering goodbyes to Writerscafe
But no indication of where you strayed from the path we walked.

And oh the humiliation that in me welled
When I noticed how long your absence had been upheld
That I didn't see.

A break I thought,
To release the words in your throat caught
But how stupid can I truly be?

Now how could I have asked you to believe in me
If you left and I didn't see?
If you left, and I didn't know?
