Itgirl

Itgirl

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

Life is a playlist, and it can be seen through the window of despair.

"
There once was a little girl
Who was undeniably sweet
With friendly smiles
And innocent eyes.
She loved the garden,
Full of vibrant colors and adventures.
And she played there
In the rain,
In the snow,
In the fog,
And in the cold.
She loved her garden,
And her garden loved her.
She loved to watch anime
And she laughed all the time
And she was happy.

There once was a tweenage girl
Who was very kind
With caring smiles
And contented eyes.
She loved her family,
Full of funny stories and happy memories.
And she played with them
In the rain,
In the snow,
In the fog,
And in the cold.
She loved her family,
And her family loved her.
She loved to sing karaoke
And she laughed quite a bit
And she was satisfied.

There once was a teenage girl
Who was very nice
With an easy smile
And fiery eyes.
She loved her friends,
Full of intellect and reliability.
And she hung out with them
In the rain,
In the snow,
In the fog,
And in the cold.
She loved to be alone
And she laughed sometimes
And she was okay.

There once was an adult woman
Who was distant
With no smile
And dark, frosty eyes.
She loved her solitude,
Full of quiet thinking moments.
And she embraced it
In the rain,
In the snow,
In the fog,
In the cold,
And always.
She loved her nothing, because that's what she had
And she never laughed
And she wasn't okay.
And she is my future, maybe.

And then there once was a gravestone which properly read:
The Itgirl.

Thanks Bark. :)
Its bittersweet with the way it accurately depicts the gradual process of losing who you were and finding who you are as time goes by. Very nice :)

Thanks Unheard. :)
Anticipation of the future is frightening to everybody, although exciting as well at times.
My only advice is to not believe in destiny; things won't happen on they're own, and I can guarantee you that. If you want something, you need to achieve it yourself.
