A World WithoutA Poem by Riley BrayA world without solitude is an existence in which we don't exist. We stand in no apparent semblance Out in a line of no mercy And without granting innocenceThey fire with no chance of amnesty A world without solitude Is an existence in which we don't exist Its an endless pursuit A fate that no one can resist. Violence doesn't end violence, It simply extends it Always living in silence In a colorless and deprived pit. And while we're all good people, We just forget it sometimes Though our minds occasionally cause ripples, As we wish to atone for sins and crimes. We cherish the remorse that follows Our cruel and empty revenge Filled with some genuine sorrow In place of reverence. A world without tragedy, Void of pain, And lacking agony, Can be simply one thing, a book written insane.
