Yeah, you're right. :P And no, the person doesn't actually exist, not for me, anyway. I wrote this from the view of the same girl about the same guy, so my minds muse was the same, but actually I've never dealt with any of this before. Thanks for the massive pat on the back! When reading it, I heard a very soft and simple tone in my head going along with it. It is very poised in a melodic manner, and I find that's a hard thing to capture for artists. They sometimes think a catchy tone and some half-assed, excuse my language, lyrics with ultimately no meaning will reach to people. It may catch their eye, but a true, raw song like this one, will always stick. People like Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston- they will always be remembered, not always by their singing ability, but their presentation of a message. That's what will always stick. I don't know what you had in mind for the music of this song, but the words are beautiful and ache of heartache. Quite beautiful.

I agree that a catchy tune shouldn't be the only thing payed any mind when writing a song, which is why I basically write poems with a chorus and bridge, (or at least that's how I think of it).
