Time To Start Living

Time To Start Living

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

Now is the time, youth, to make your mistakes.

"
We're going nowhere fast
And I know its rash, but
Maybe its time to rebel again...
And I know we're young
But my excitement's been sprung
And I'm ready to face these thrills with you.

I see those chains
Pulling you down, down, down.
Into the depths of your mind,
Where you're prone to drown.
You see this world,
As something so rundown.
And so its time for a night out on the town.

But we're going backwards now
And I just can't allow you
To go succumb to nothing...
So I'm sorry to say girl,
But I'm taking you out into this world
So that we may taste freedom again.

And I see those chains
Pulling you down, down, down.
Into the depths of your mind,
Where you're prone to drown.
You see this world,
As something so rundown.
And so its time for a night out on the town.

And hell we're young girl,
And we're growing up,
So lets make a few mistakes and give this a whirl!
This is the time we have to live
And I won't let you waste it all and regret it later
So I'm gonna make you get active.

And I see those chains
Pulling down, down, down.
Into the depths of your mind,
Where you're prone to drown.
You see this world,
As something so rundown.
And so its time for a night out on the town.
