A Poem by Riley Bray
"

Tied down by your own words...trapped...caged....restrained...restricted.

"
I remember strands of hair whipping 'round your face
When you were all hunched over your black ink words
When shadows were strewn across your desk
And your eyes were drooping low
But that's all over for the time being.

I came to talk
About you being such a slave
To your thoughts and emotions.
I came to talk
About you being so naive
When it comes to your obsession.

Don't you dare get lost in yourself
And force all your secrets out in an
Explosion of desperation.
You're getting sucked deeper inside,
Its unnerving, its unending.

I came to talk
About you being such a slave
To your thoughts and emotions.
I came to talk
About you being so naive
When it comes to your obsession.

I came to talk
To you
I came to talk
And to help you
I came to talk
I came for you.
