Where You're Gone

Where You're Gone

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

We might as well all be gone, what with the menace in humanity.

"
I'll show you what its like
To be the last one standing.
I'll teach you wrong from right
And prove to you what I can be.
Say it to me
Say it for me
Say it if i'm worth
Being saved.

Neither heaven nor hell's gates
Will open wide for me
And with shattered wings
I'm falling.
But when I lift my lids
For the slightest moment
I always seem to catch the
Misty air shining.

These stony city walls
Are eerily enclosing me
As I stand on a ledge at night.
And I scream for you there
Pleading, come now i'm calling
And all I need for you now
Is to hurry just to hurry
I'm falling!

Neither heaven nor hell's gates
Will open wide for me
And with shattered wings
I'm falling.
But when I lift my lids
For the slightest moment
I always seem to catch the
Misty air shining.

With the world rushing towards me
And the sky spreading out gloriously
And the wind stealing away my freedom
And nothing left to stop me
From vanishing like a falling star,
Just the disrupted landscapes tormented scar...
With not a breath of air left in my lungs
And the final sigh left in the world...

Neither heaven nor hell's gates
Will open wide for me
And with shattered wings
I'm falling.
But when I lift my lids
For the slightest moment
I always seem to catch the
Misty air shining.

Its a living nothing
To beat the apocalypse
'Cause without you near me
I have no reason to survive.
So say it
I'm screaming for you
Can't escape it
Its fate through and through
We can't lose each other or else...

I've had dreams where you're gone...
