ForsakenA Poem by jdr / JenniferForsaken
If ever I did something to hurt you To cause you pain Know that I wish I could erase the abyss of memories Darkened by her fiery red lips of shame
I remember when I heard you speak, only to she You had willed me gone, forsaken me for another No longer did I belong
I agreed, not knowing the dragon inside of you was made of ice That you could slice my throat with your tongue Tear at my insides with your iron clad fists And rip through the veil that covered my eyes
Finally to see, I could Nor was it I, but it was she Her presence you requested, you craved And I, spat out across the ocean of oblivion
Your emotional essence placed across her nakedness With a smile of internal mischief I spied as bodies numbered in two Burned, singed and suffering through the flames
Persecuted by your own sinful hatred A disgust you could taste, drink and bathe in I have remained, it was you that disappeared
If ever I did something to hurt you To cause you pain Know that I wish I could shower in the gift of memories Darkened by my fiery red lips of strain © 2015 jdr / JenniferAuthor's Note
