VoiceA Poem by Joshua McNayMy voice is the one thing I love and when I lost it, as you can imagine was very unpleasant. I wrote this recalling how I felt at the time.I remember when I lost my voice unable to speak, was not my first choice I learned to appreciate all of my sounds It was rather easy, when they were no longer around A fright came over me as the days went on What if it's gone forever? How will I go on? Who am I kidding? I almost cried If I told you my voice wasn't my best feature, I'd of lied The sound of my voice often soothes me To think of it gone again, is a nightmare to me A week went by and my voice came back strong I'm super happy that didn't last too long The world needs my glorious voice Since I never shut up, it has no choice.
