True Path

True Path

A Poem by Joshua McNay
"

Just something I wrote before going to bed.

"

I sit here in the dark

Wondering why I need that spark

Should I just go it alone?

Like a king removed from his throne

I wander with no sense of purpose or direction

All because I fell for your deception

With no map or marks to guide

I will search now for my pride

I know it is out there

I do not know for sure where

I will find what it is I seek

No longer will I be looked down on and called meek

A throne of my own I will obtain

Even if I have to push through the pain

A glory I will soon discover

When the true path for me I uncover

Isn't rhyming fun? apparently I think it is, what about you guys and gals? As this is only my second real attempt at being somewhat poetic, I would like to know what thoughts you have on it.
