Remove All Trace

Remove All Trace

A Poem by Joshua McNay
"

A little poem that popped into my head thought I'd share it.

"

She is like a cancer

I feel it growing inside

I don’t know what it is about her

I have these feelings which I’m forced to hide

I cannot figure out what to do

All my thoughts are of you

We are not close, in fact we’re far

But I close my eyes and there you are

I feel helpless when you’re around

When you leave I feel down

The cancer grows and makes me ill

These feeling I have I need to kill

I have only one choice

Since she will never hear my voice

I need to remove all of her

I need to remove the cancer.

I do what I can within my power, to remove all trace

Out of my phone, off my book of face

It’s going to be hard that’s for sure

To remove the cancer, any trace of her.

Yes, it's bad to desire someone you can't have. I've been there a few times, as I guess a lot of us guys have. Now how do those words to the Rolling Stones song go-- You can't always get what you want....?
