Sitting in my chairA Poem by Joshua McNaySomething I found a while ago that I wrote 5-11-10, if I remember right about my time working at a hotel.
Quiet and serene as most nights are
I sit in my chair and gaze out far Pondering what wonders i'll soon behold curious if i'll see them before I grow old Alone and secluded yet completely surrounded Thinking if the thoughts in my head will be founded Around and around my imagination spins Dealing with some of these people makes my patience wear thin Trying my best to please and put them at ease But I fell they'd rather have me on my knees As if i'm someone to be looked down on If only they knew the filth they just slept on So again I sit in my chair and plot And try to quell all my devious thoughts
