Gone

Gone

A Poem by JD Jessop
"

Gone talks about being conflicted between leaving a lover when you know you should but the dream persists and you keep on until the realization that what you had is gone.........

"

GONE

When I ask you the question " You break me the answer

Tell me that seeing is believing " I cannot climb up your mountain

Late recognition " False conviction " I feel afflicted by persuasion

Break down and test you

Could you stay with me awhile

It’s been so long, so lost

I crave to see you smiling

I’ll resurrect you and my dream if for a day

In the end

You will go away

Gone

Chase the star

Past the hollows

Through the trees

Around the corner

In the basement

Empty chasm

Inside your heart

I understand you and the question " You broke me the answer

Sun spots shining, blackened lighting " As I stumble down your mountain

Soldier of Fortune’s sold out fortune " Still I’m afflicted by persuasion

Gone

Chase the rainbow

Hollow moonglow

Shine of fools gold

Around the corner

In the basement

Empty chasm

Inside your heart
