A fire burningA Poem by Just_JoshingA fire burning, Insides churning. Intense strong heat, Dangerous rhythm, precarious beat. Demon hiding behind a paper thin charade, Ready to burst free, power put to parade. A compact lump of hate embedded in the chest, Ready to burn them all, leaving nothing left. Sick of being pushed around, Beaten down, left to rot on the ground. Treated with less respect than a shabby promenade, It’s time to give up the grotesque masquerade. They treat others like the dust that blows in their face, But their swagger and ego, so out of place. Time to show them all right now, Time to finish the play, and take my bow. © 2016 Just_Joshing |
