It fallsA Poem by Just_Joshing
It falls.
The sky, space, life. All of it. Not just a little bit. As darkness falls, And the werewolf calls, People flee, they run in terror. As the moon falls down, out of our sky, It is the sun's turn. The sun's turn to pretend to fly. When it rises, so does the illuminating light, Dispellimg the dark, and making hope shine bright. But you know what they say- what goes up must come back down, As does a smile revert back into a frown. There is no escape, the sentence is final, Be you on sand, dirt, or even on vinyl. As a peasant is taken, so deep in his sleep, So too can a king be cut down, forced to weep. Life is good, they say, make it last. But only for the most oblivious and single minded, is life a blast. For sorrow is a relative term, felt by one and all, But those who shrug it off as nothing, they are the ones I call fool. © 2016 Just_JoshingFeatured Review
