Hope can floatA Poem by Just_Joshing
A bubble is as free as can be,
It can float, and fly and hover over me. A bubble brings laughter and cheer, It can all but dispel that feeling of fear. A bubble conveys a message of hope in dark times, Much like the sound of peaceful wind chimes. This aside, the bubble has many flaws. A bubble pops seemingly without a cause. only so high can a bubble fly, Before it begins to wave goodbye. A bubble lives for such a short time, Yet long enough to inspire this lengthy rhyme. If hope truly is represented as a bubble, Then why do us humans go through the trouble? Why do we cling onto an ideal that can fade in an instant, And leave us in a state, so utterly broken and distant? What is hope, truly? Can we ever understand? Is hope a horrid cancer, or a hero, stark and grand? If hope can pop at any given second, Then why is it considered a force to be reckoned? They say those with hope can conquer a nation, And those who believe can bring salvation. That those with hope can brave the dark, Stand their ground, and leave their mark. But within my heart of hearts, I always knew the answer. Hope isn't a frail bubble, a proud hero, or a terrible cancer, Hope is a powerful emotion within us all, shining crystal clear. It is only as strong as the person who holds it completely dear. Hope belongs to all who seek out something with their hearts, And devote their lives to its cause, sacrificing their beautiful arts. From those who strive to keep the population as safe as can be, To others who make for us beautiful sights to behold and see. Hope is blossoming within all of our chests, And struggling to make us our very best. So, if a bubble truly does equate to a spark of hope, Then I say a bubble is far more than just some floating soap. © 2016 Just_JoshingAuthor's Note
