Regret You (snippet)

Regret You (snippet)

A Poem by Joshua David Dary
"

Just an idea for a song I started writing tonight... This will probably never be sung by myself, as I don't have the vocals for rock music. I'm thinking more "Daughtry" style for this...

"

Your smile, your hair, your lips, your eyes
Things I see as you drive on by
It's far too fantasy to be true,

And yet I find myself wrapped up in you

The weeks, the months, the years, take flight
The way you take me way up high
All the things you make me do,
Just to stay in love with you

But when is it going to end?
The way you make me struggle to
Keep holding on to your hand
Even after all, I fear regret

When are you gonna know,
That all you do is pull me closer
When are you gonna show,
That it's endgame, and we're not over
When am I gonna know,
That this is where I'll be forever
When am I gonna show,
That it's not fair, that I'm your lover.

I don't wanna regret,
All the times I made you smile.
I don't wanna regret,
Walking, running, for you, for miles.
I don't wanna regret,
I don't wanna regret,
No, I don't wanna regret,
I don't wanna regret you.

I love the flow to this, nice poem/song hun. :)

It does have a nice hop, beat, to it. The character seems somewhat confused. It should have better closure though. It's sort of "hanging" toward the end. Thanks for sharing.
