The Power of RejectionA Poem by Jayden IretonThis is me. I am the only I. Every day craving acceptance and fearing rejection. I grow into my own skin every time I try, But rejection scares me so much I almost never endeavor I am not wanted, I do so fear. Why do we as humans let no one draw near? We could all show acceptance and make the world a better place, But instead we draw back watching others fall on their face. I used to think it was hate that let this be so, But now I know they fear rejection too So to help they are slow. Rejection runs the world it seems, A bunch of cowards we are not helping Not chasing dreams. © 2013 Jayden IretonReviews
