The Cut

The Cut

A Poem by Jayden Ireton

As it slices through I feel the burn of intense pleasure

The two sides parting like the water for Moses

Truly a red sea

The exhilaration of one tiny fluid movement

How easily we find pleasure In pain

Pressing the razor to the skin

Time to go again

Great imagery in this one! I love the idea of parting the "red sea" and "Moses", you kept the image throughout, which made the piece as a whole coheisive and fluid.

"How easily we find pleasure in pain."--isn't this the truth? Sometimes we become so numb as humans that even pain is welcome because at least we are feeling SOMETHING. I won't go into the mechanics review again, you get what my thoughts are on that I'm sure. For the content, this is very strong.
