Goodbye TonightA Poem by Jessica DallaireJanuary 11, 2009. I know it might seem rather mean... But... I don't know. Some people seem like they would be happier if they just let themselves die. Why fear death but accept birth with open arms?Let go of the pain, dear. Let go of your sorrow. Let's not just remain here. Let's not live for tomorrow. Let us go to Heaven, love. Let us think not of Hell. Let you see the light, honey. Let you not just dwell.
Death should not scare you. You claim that you believe. To your God above, you go. Unless in believing, you did decieve.
Why the fear of dying, precious? Why the fear of letting go? Why the fear of leaving now? Why is what I'd like to know. Why do you believe in Heaven? Why do you hear the angel's sing? Why do you fear of going to a place Where so much joy, to you, it will bring?
Death should not scare you. You claim that you know. You should be with this God of yours. He'll give you all the love he can show.
You should just let go, darling. You should just move on. You shouldn't worry about us. You know that we'll be strong. You need to say goodbye, dear. You need to not fight. You'd be in a better place. If you just said goodbye tonight. © 2009 Jessica DallaireReviews
