Shiver

Shiver

A Poem by Jessica Dallaire
"

December 29, 2008.

"

He can't touch me.

Nor can he hold me.

So tell me why I love him so.

He can't feel me.

He can't see me.

Tell me why I let myself go.

Didn't mean to fall.

Now I shiver.

Let go of it all.

So I shiver.

I can't understand.

Why I want his hand.

Tell me why I feel this much.

Blessed with a curse.

But heartache is worse.

Tell me why I want his touch.

Dreamed of forever.

Now I shiver.

We'll be together.

So I shiver.

Broken promises is the way.

Time has taught that they won't stay.

Tell me why it hurts to trust.

He's my hero of shining blade.

And he claims our love won't fade.

Tell me if that blade will rust.

Time will show.

So I shiver.

Soon I'll know.

Just why I shiver...

Author's Note

Jessica Dallaire
I just had to get something out... I've been in one of those moods where all I want to do is cry... But... I have no reason because I'm not even sad... =/ I don't know what's going on with me. But yay, new crap.

It is difficult when you love someone and they don't respond or feel the same way. A sad peom, but a good write.

Oh, don't be so hard on yourself...it's not as bad as you paint it to be...the poem, I mean. I am sorry that you are crying! It is good that you are able to express your emotions by writing a poem such as this, and I hope that it has made you feel better after putting some words to verse.
I like the line...he's my hero of shining blade. I am a grand lover of knights, and kings and queens..so this one touches a soft spot for me.
Keep writing!
Sheila
