ShiverA Poem by Jessica DallaireDecember 29, 2008.He can't touch me. Nor can he hold me. So tell me why I love him so. He can't feel me. He can't see me. Tell me why I let myself go.
Didn't mean to fall. Now I shiver. Let go of it all. So I shiver.
I can't understand. Why I want his hand. Tell me why I feel this much. Blessed with a curse. But heartache is worse. Tell me why I want his touch.
Dreamed of forever. Now I shiver. We'll be together. So I shiver.
Broken promises is the way. Time has taught that they won't stay. Tell me why it hurts to trust. He's my hero of shining blade. And he claims our love won't fade. Tell me if that blade will rust.
Time will show. So I shiver. Soon I'll know. Just why I shiver... © 2008 Jessica DallaireAuthor's Note
