Ripped

Ripped

A Poem by Jessica Dallaire

Tear up my reflection

Along with my pain

Tear up my sorrow

And let everything fall like rain

Tear up every piece

Of my existence

Just rip my heart to shreads

I cant take this any longer

With my heart on your sleeve

You hang it out and let it bleed

As you walk through your day

Do you bother to think of me

Or do you just ignore the love I send out

You are happy and joyful

But I,

I live in my own solitary existence

Screaming your name every chance I get.

And believing you don’t care

Hurts so much more

Than you could ever imagine

Like the thorns of a rose

Pricking at my heart.

~chorus

Every time I hear my name

I pray that you are the one calling

Pray that you are needing me and not her.

But that is never the case

The love I shower you with,

It is wasted.
