Too many tears have fallen from my eyes to count

So many heartbreaks that I try to shut the world out.

For so long I have been trying to grasp the point in life

Holding everything inside until I break down and cry at night

Concealing myself in the shadows

And hiding every trace of pain behind a happy smile.

This pretend life seemed to have no ending

Until you came to me and took my pain away

 

I have been waiting for you forever

Counting the days until you appeared

And now that you are here all I want is to smile
