In a time when I hid my pain

You came to me not seeking gain

I let you inside the deeps of my mind

You had no clue what you would find

But upon your first look

You did not judge the cover of my book

You looked past the first page

You ignored all of my rage

You did not see all of my fright

You looked deep for my inner light

And you found what it is you seek

You found a love that runs so deep

You traveled to my inner core

Instead of riding along the shore

You took in your hands my battered soul

You wound me up and made me whole

You made me see the magick of love

You gave me wings to soar like a dove

Instead of turning away in fear

You whispered softly in my ear

You told me how much you care

And how you want me always there

You take me places I have never been

I see you as more than just a friend

There still is so much that you don’t see

You don’t know how special you are to me

If nothing else know that this is true

I really do love you.
