Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by Jessica Dallaire

"

I see your face in darkness

Like you lurk in shadows

I try to escape

But you won’t leave me

I wish that you weren’t here

I wish that I could make you disappear

You are my Hell

And when you're near, I'm unwell.

Sickness dwells inside of me.

Badness aches at my core

Lover, you're my fire

But whether it's love or lust

I'm not sure.

Hating all that you are

Hating all you've made me become

Madness nips at my edges

Honey, I'm coming undone.

This was a powerful rush of brooding emotion flowing with gloomy conviction, well expressed!
