When you are near I don’t want to let you go

I want to let all of my feelings show.

I have the sudden urge to just hold you close

And instead I have to keep it back.

Love is not that simple,

It can be a dangerous thing.

With this love I have to be cautious

And consider other people’s feelings.

But I guess when I am in love

I really can’t think.

Spontaneous things happen

When my life is missing that link.

If I leave my heart unprotected

I have a high chance of heartache,

But if I protect it to much

Real love can not enter.

If I am looking for some shelter

The first place I look is to you.

You are my soul, my heart, my rock.

My love for you is true.
