Clue-LessA Poem by Jessica DallaireLate 2004, methinks. This poem was written about a friend of mine who I hadn't realized I liked as more than a friend until after I moved. We called each other "brother" and "sister" because of how close we were. It's funny how things are not always how they seem. I loved you and you loved me. We were unaware of our feelings for each other. I thought you were only a friend So I called you my brother. This made you call me your sister Even though we both wanted to be a little bit more But we were both unaware And blissfully clue-less. If only we had both knew this, If only we had both knew how it was meant to be. Then maybe we would have been together. But the time is lost And the opportunity wasted. You have no clue how hard it is for me to say this. But I still want to talk, it is my turn To say these three words: I love you. © 2008 Jessica DallaireAuthor's Note
