Another Poem About You

Another Poem About You

A Poem by Jessica Dallaire
"

I wrote this around... I want to say May of 2008. May or April. Whatever. Anyway, it's about one of my ex boyfriends. At the time I was trying to convince myself he didn't matter to me. Hah. Silly me.

"

Never going to write another poem about you.

Not after all that you and I have been through.

It's best to just let the relationship die

And never again ask myself how or why.

Maybe never another rhyme or verse

Because love, your memory is feeling like a curse.

I miss your blue eyes staring back into mine

And the love we said we'd share for all time.

I miss the promises that we vowed to uphold

And the dream lives we both wanted to unfold.

I miss wasting away hours of each day

And watching the blue sky fade to grey.

Plentiful kisses that tasted so sweet

And the way our hearts would together beat.

Apparently my first line wasn't so true,

I just wrote another poem about you...
