All There Is

All There Is

A Poem by jdTella

in the metro, a fat lady takes two seats

at a restaurant a man does not know what to eat

on the street a bus driver hits a sparrow

with the front of the capo

in the attic, a boy kills a spider with a shoe

my sister complains on forgetting her makeup

and I cannot find my favorite record

there is not hot water falling from the shower

and my three day balloon is losing air

we lost our football to our neighbor’s backyard

my uncle ate my last cookie bar

and my mother has got the flu

all of this things bother me

but now none of it matters

because I’m at the swings

swinging with you
