A Single Cry

A Single Cry

A Poem by Dawn

On that day, we'll open our eyes,

To witness a family's tragic demise.

A mother will watch her children's last breaths,

Then taker her own life to join them in death.

Where they will go, there will be no rest.

They'll have all of eternity to burn for her flesh.

Agonizing screams and gnashing of teeth,

Spiraling pits of bottomless grief.

Where time has no place and fate is no more.

They'll be clawing for peace on that distant shore.

Buildings will crumble and children will die.

Sobbing and screaming, A single cry.

Red is the color that will paint our earth.

Reality dawning on what He was worth.

We'll beg and plead through the heartache and tears,

For God to save us but he wont be here.
