The darkness before the light

The darkness before the light

A Poem by shadow_walker

As the Raven lie with broken heart. Silence was thereafter broken. At a moment darkest before light. The last howl calls of the primal heard. The vultures watch behind black windows. The strange, unbound, prowling for their last prey through vacant streets. The city that had once slept beneath eternal night quietly wakens.

Morning breaks. The sun shines upon us, comforting us like the warmth of a mother's arms. "Open your eyes". You are reborn.
