Familar Taste of PoisonA Poem by Joshua J. Certain
Lie to me like you love too
Give me promises Promises that will never go through Let hope be the poison to kill me Let your hand restrain my every heartbeat Grind your lips Razor sharp Flavored cherry Press them wet against mine Lie and say you love me Your poison is so familiar Let it sink into my veins Drug me So I see blindly your evil deeds Prey upon your personal fulfillment Then like the arachnid I begin to die As you gracefully leave This familiar taste of poison Stains upon my lips I love you But can do without Your last kiss © 2011 Joshua J.
