Man of the Modern Day

Man of the Modern Day

A Poem by Joshua J. Certain

Over seas there is a man
He has lost his way
He is trying to find himself
In a place where all time slowly fades

He walks with broken feet

And drowns in ocean waves
Tie his tie
The single looped noose
Break his mind
Time to let loose all he knows
This man spent his life in the comfort of buisness suits
While shipping out poor men in combat boots
Close his eyes to family names
Let them be Unknown
A number is the people as they go

Let the public he knows be led astray

Turn on the news to see what the media may say

The bullet proof words to prosecute

The man of the modern day
