Summer LoveA Poem by Joshua J. CertainSummer time creeps her light warm touch on my skin Lets me remember when I saw brighter days In the last summer that was hidden away As I would stay inside with her voice in my ear I would love to hear the things she would say And listen to her voice like watching some extravagant play She would touch me with words Each syllable a song in verse A thousand miles could never be the judge We were in the moment So stupid in love Now she is gone and another summer has come Without her I will grief and come undone Or I can hide away the tears I want to cry so bad And smile for the moments that we had The days when she would laugh At my impersonation of Disney's past She Would sit silenty With each breath so real, so lovely This summer has begun alone I wonder about this girl I once have known Maybe her summer will find the love she needs I hope this summer I can find peace to finally breathe © 2011 Joshua J.
