Copy paste personality

Copy paste personality

A Poem by Joshua J. Certain

Once in something

I dream of nothing

Waking thoughts of belonging

I am not in a place to fit in

So I sit in and listen

Try to blend in

I become more of an invisible vision

A copy of a copy

Faded

Blured lines

Can not make out the originality

Feel as if I am lacking personality

Take apart the pieces

Combined tastless efforts

become a little bit of everyone I have ever known

I hope it don't show

Am I fake?

Or am I not sure who is me?

I ask

With ansewers that are all empty

Echoeing laughter

Is it a reflection of me

The smiling faces

They are so haunting

The words unspoken

What is it in the mind

I am drifting further from reality

Save me.....Save me

In a dark place I awoke. I believe it was around the age of twelve. I picked up a pen and wrote a poem tilted "Broken light". That was years ago and that poem is long gone. I started a whole mess of.. more..
