Empty last breaths

Empty last breaths

A Poem by Joshua J. Certain

An empty bottle is what you gave me,

So gorgous but empty you enslaved me.

Your words so soft, now filled with torment.

You hate me, I wonder what the word love meant?

I am human

I have a life

Not someones "magic carpet ride"

I looked past all the times you lied

Always told myself your words were truth

My time with you wasting away my youth

Now I see your true self

Hypocrite, liar.

That's what you are

Can you even be honest with yourself?

You broke my heart and broke my soul

Now whats left is this vacant hole.

You laugh with your friends in the expense of my name.

Give me everything.

Then take it all away.

That is your game.

I see why you love the distance.

Its easier for you to throw someone awyay.

One day

you will wake up alone.

I hope then you relize what you have done.

I hope you see

You were everything to me

Now with you, or without you I can not breathe.

In a dark place I awoke. I believe it was around the age of twelve. I picked up a pen and wrote a poem tilted "Broken light". That was years ago and that poem is long gone. I started a whole mess of.. more..
