Cheap

Cheap

A Poem by Joshua J. Certain

I am a generic brand,
no name to make me grand.
Put on the bottom shelf and always on sale,
Had the chance to be great,
Somewhere I failed.
Seeking hope to perservere,
still it is failure that I fear.
Hold on to things I know

Not wanting to let go

Tie me up to a tree

Hang myself to be free.

Innocence is a lost feeling,

My souls wounds are not healing.

Empty as any inside,

This discount brand has died.

"Seeking hope to perservere,

Nicely done this was.
I like the bluntness of your words...It feels authentic and keeps a single read!
