Little Monsters

Little Monsters

A Poem by Joshua J. Certain
"

Just having fun

"
I hear them scratching at the walls,

Screaming feels up the hall.

Do I know who they are?

They came from a planet so far.

Little monsters in my dreams

Dream monsters are in reality it seems.

Frequntly they are calling my name.

Laughing,

I am loosing their game.

Little monsters running me to insanity.

Little monsters bringing misery.

I hide under the sheets

Lets make sure our eyes do not meet.

The more voices,

The faster my heart beats.

Little Monsters

Little Monsters

Little Monsters

I hear the sounds of of people being torn apart,

See the ground covered in body parts.

"Do not scream" I tell myself.

I hear them jumping on the shelfs.

Little monsters so cruel.

Little monsters,

Alleviating the world from the human fool.

delightfully graphic and terrifying! i am still thinking of those nights in bed as a young boy, pulling the covers over my face and listening for every little noise with abject horror. nice job!

About
In a dark place I awoke. I believe it was around the age of twelve. I picked up a pen and wrote a poem tilted "Broken light". That was years ago and that poem is long gone. I started a whole mess of.. more..
