The broken manA Poem by Joshua J. CertainThis is kind of sappyMy darkest day, When she went away. The voice in my mind, Reapeating "she is mine, she is mine" It grinds my heart, Broken, no push button to restart. Her voice echoes, Like a sword pircing skin, Begging her heart "let me in, let me in" I had it all, lost it with a single fall. A stupid mistake, left for me to make, Drunk with rage Empty Torment Hate So many words left to speak, but my mind is weak. On my knees wanting to be free. Knowing she was in my life torments me. Our love was grand. Now my heart is cheap. I am the broken man. © 2011 Joshua J. Certain |
