One life

One life

A Poem by Joshua J. Certain
"

This poem I wrote recently. It is about the lonlinees I feel as I walk down the street doing the same things over, observing the world. Feeling lost.

"

One life walking on crowded streets,
Invisible to all, a life is tired and weak.
Countless times this life has been heartbroken
Now no words in the life's heart will be spoken.
An invisble sword pierces the chest.
Look at this life; such a mess.
Knees begin shaking.
No purpose in waking.
Sad eyes looking so blind,
A face aged with the debris of time.
So young but so old,
A hard life taking its toll.
Alone with no friends by its side
A hope that has long died.
This life wakes up with no one,
Wandering in darkness never to see the sun.
One life so alone,
One life wanting love, friends, family, and a home.

About
In a dark place I awoke. I believe it was around the age of twelve. I picked up a pen and wrote a poem tilted "Broken light". That was years ago and that poem is long gone. I started a whole mess of.. more..
