We often chose the wrong door to open. Sometimes with curiosity, sometimes unknowingly. Whatever it is, consequences are always there.
If I get the choices, I would chose to open the LOVE door as I know that LOVE might not always bring me happy consequences but it will never cause me pain.
Wonderful poem. Thank you.

Thanks. We should always choose the love door. That's not saying it will always be easy, though.

Exactly. It does not need to be always easy or happier.
There seems to be enough rage outside the house, so if I am offered a choice, I'll go for the peace and love door, but I'll hope for no squeaky hinges.

Thanks. Even with the squeaky hinges, it's the better choice.
We can have knowledge but need the wisdom to know how to use it. This reminds me of that. We have choices but what we choose depends on our intentions.
Great poem, John.

Thanks. Your comment points out why it is so important to be aware of our own motivations.
Hi, John. I’ve been perusing your first several poems just now and I really like your focus on wisdom and positivity.
I have gone through periods where I have been positively (love) focused and periods where I have let the darkness over take my mood and thoughts. It is hard to argue with your logic here based on my own experiences.
I am glad to see your work here. The simple but wisdom-filled messages are reminders I can always use. Thanks for sharing your positivity.
It’s nice to meet you.

I have seen a lot of human suffering, so my writing is geared toward helping to alleviate it. I believe we can acknowledge our pain without letting it dominate us for years.
How very wise your words are John. So many doors in the mind and heart to either open or keep closed. Great direct, but gentle, style of writing. You warn, but you also guide. Excellent message and write.

Thanks, Annette. Warning is one thing; being able to make the right choices yourself is another.
Yes life is always about choice. Choosing the right door. I hope I continue to choose with wisdom. Having said that, everyone can make mistakes. However, the mistakes are the ones which cause most havoc. Thank you John. Your writes are always thought provoking.
