Supply and DemandA Poem by John the BaptistA meditation on values
Accessibility is the death
Of appreciation, Dearth, the womb of Desire. Supply and demand, As it is called. The air surrounds us, Its passage through our Lungs the life of our bodies, Yet who among us notes The breaths taken and is Grateful for them, But who also would claw at The sky if the process were Interrupted. Supply and demand, Luxury and lack. Hear me well: nothing is Guaranteed, not even the air We breathe, Therefore give thanks for it In this moment, For appreciation welcomes the gift, And bids it continue.
