MY DAY AT THE BEACH

MY DAY AT THE BEACH

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

MY DAY AT THE BEACH
with soft peach n wine fingers
dawn draws morning across the sky
to slip singing enchantments into the sea
enticing me into the restless water edge
yearning to catch the last song syllable
hoping the spell will hold until darkness comes
drawing the purple curtains of night along
the same path whispering similar chants
of peace and pleasure, kissing the sea
slipping into my soul leaving me
to walk bathed in gentle silver light
rested and replete...

WOW, beautifully expressed. I can feel the serenity in you words as I picture paradise.

oh, this is such a sweet image you have painted, Jeannemarie...each line leaves me more and more rested until i am filled with a sigh of contentment...this was a much-needed walk along the shoreline of your words, my friend...thank you for this beautiful piece and gorgeous image...
