PEEKING FROG SONG

PEEKING FROG SONG

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

PEEKING FROG SONG

early morning
wrapped in grey mist clouds
amber light peeks through
smiling
at small frog lifting his leaf shelter
winking at me through  the passing rain
whispercroaking “have you seen her
my lady, my love, she is so fine
she soon will be mine”
preparing for his courting opera
just as i amble past
with my canine companions cavorting
through shimmering puddles
and,
 the universe pauses
laughing
 with utter delight...

This a chewy little gummy candy of a poem. You're a natural story teller (or maybe well practiced), plucking little dreams from nature, and singing them out with delight. Much respect for your creative stylings, even short ones like this are just full of life and colour.
