MESSAGE IN THE LIGHTS

MESSAGE IN THE LIGHTS

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

MESSAGE IN THE LIGHTS
with the northern lights trembling
rose to green across the liquid deep,
the light of an angel wings up to heaven
with a message of love and peace
for all the creatures the aurora borealis touches
in its dance across space from sun to earth,
and
from invisible microbe to sleeping grizzly bear
the message is received,
and understood on the most elemental level,
the only creature foolish enough to question,
 is man,
because he has lost his natural connection
to the patterns of life
traded it for,
and thus,
trapped in his search for civilized comfort
imposing his wishes on all other living things
yet,
it is a time of change,
the heavens are aligned,
and man may again hear the ancient wisdom
of ancestral races long gone to the next plane,
the northern lights move choreographed
to show mankind the way,
if only he hesitates
to see the angel leaving,
and listens,
to what is whispered across the universe...

The aurora borealis is such a stunning phenomena that it's hard to believe that this is the first piece that I have READ about it, and you write with as much clarity as the sight itself is UNclear. (I hope that makes sense to you...kind of clumsily put). You write of the sight as if it has conscious thought, a humanizing spirit imbued within its astral being...a very engaging way to attempt to explain its aura. Your style of writing is just MADE for such a deep subject. Very well done! take care...dan

I have seen them and love your interpretation of them...it is easy to get lost in the vibrant colours and swaying lights as the aurora borealis moves to the sounds of the Earth...it is stunning to witness and your words are always stunning to read...well-done, Jeannemarie...

I have watched the lights many times, many times, observed them in many colors and observed them in several locations around our globe but, I will be honest with you here, I cannot understand the language of the lights or what they are whispering about. For all I know, they could be laughing at us or taking measure of us for some reason we might out about at some later date.
