FLUMMOXED BY MORNING

FLUMMOXED BY MORNING

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter
"

flummoxed always by our beautiful world

"

FLUMMOXED BY MORNING

waking restless from dream laden sleep
i wander the bluffs of the north coast
and am flummoxed by the glory of the morning,
my dogs dancing in the flowers
to the seabird calls and the rolling rhythm of the sea
splash flashing against the earth
and
cymbal clashing over rocks
as light crystal breaks over the laughter
of the ocean bubbling up from tide pools
my breath stolen by the rich beauty
i hesitate and sit in the mist dressed flowers
so completely blessed i give thanks to the universe
with word, laughter and song...
