BALANCED

BALANCED

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

BALANCED
morning sunlight dusting the brook
the doves are singing love songs
to gentle earth mother
two brave warriors
mounted on their favorite horses
head out just after dawn
in search of the elusive antelope
all is well
and
 balanced,
in their world...

beautiful picture and poem, but makes me so sad...such a proud nation of people set on reservations after we took the land from them, as if we had the rights to kick them off of it...

we treated them so badly.....no wonder they had an uprising and didn't trust us...

they knew how to love the land, not abuse it.
