DAY BEGINS

DAY BEGINS

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

DAY BEGINS
find a peaceful place
with fresh water streaming
washing the earth
with a gentle ruffle touch
sit on a long forgotten log
uncork the merlot you carried
in the old well used back-pack
slice the rich aged cheddar
drape it on the crusty french bread
and prepare for a quiet feast
oh yes
remember to open your book of poetry
and share it with the forest, log , and river...
a fine day begins...
